At Nursery Hill Primary School, the we aim to ensure that all volunteers understand what we are looking to achieve, are fully involved and feel able to produce a high standard of performance as quickly as possible.
Effective induction is key to building a culture of continuous improvement. All newly appointed volunteers will receive a program of structured support and guidance appropriate to their role, ensuring all individuals:
Feel welcome and comfortable and integrate successfully into the school
Understand the importance of the ethos and school values and their role in promoting these
Understand what is expected of them and are provided with support in meeting those expectations
Are able to gain experience within the context of the school priorities
Are able to contribute to improving and developing the overall effectiveness of our school
Are able to meet the needs of the whole school community
Overall induction is the responsibility of the Senior Leadership team (SLT). Each new member of staff will be appointed a mentor to oversee the induction process.
All newly appointed volunteers will need to download the three documents below. Please read and sign the Manual Handling form and Information Pack and fill in the Emergency Contact Details.
Alternatively, please come to school and we will provide you with everything you need.
