School Council

Our School Council is an important part of life at Nursery Hill and it plays an important part in school improvement.

We believe it is very important for ALL children to have a voice and feel as though their views and opinions count. Mrs Wright shall be leading the School Council. All other members are children from your school.

In the Autumn Term each class, from Year 1 to Year 6, holds an election to choose their class representatives. Each councillor has to ensure that the views of all of the children in their class are heard.

The members of the School Council for the current 2018/19 cohort are as follows:

The school council have been meeting regularly and having some super discussions about how to improve the school.

They have been leading their own class assemblies relating to friendship and kindness.

During Anti-Bullying Week the school council talked to each class about what to do if they felt upset at school.

The children also helped to serve at our last ‘Afternoon Tea’ for parents and had some lovely comments about their manners serving cakes.

Watch this space for their next update.
