At Nursery Hill Primary School, we strongly believe that the Internet can be a useful and engaging learning resource. At the same time we should make every effort to ensure pupils are safe from unwelcome attention and unsuitable material.
We recently held a safer internet day showing the activities we did with children (dance, drama and writing) about how to stay safe online. Both teachers and pupils loved it and were fully engaged in it all!
Online Safety Accreditation Award
Nursery Hill Primary School has been accredited with the 360 degree online safety mark. This nationally accredited award is given to schools that deliver high standards of online safety education, have good staff awareness of procedures and have excellent policies in place.
The award is a result of a culmination of years of hard work and dedication from all members of staff.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to the staff, parents and the children for their support to achieve this award and their commitment shown to online safety.
A special mention needs to go to Mrs Wright and Mr Donagh for their leadership through this project.
Here are some practical tips for parents to maintain this approach at home. Watch the videos and access the information provided in the links below. It is worth a few minutes of your time.
