Year 4

Year 4

Reaching for the stars!

Welcome back Year 4!

What a fantastic first week back we have had! We have learnt lots in R.E this week about why we use symbols and the different ways people think about God. In literacy we have been using lots of adventurous adjectives to describe Greek Gods and in Maths we have been using our problem solving skills!

We also practised team work in football and rugby as part of our P.E lessons. I was very impressed to see many of you running at top speed and lots of goals scored, keep it up!

On Friday we had an Art Day. Our artist this year is Paul Klee, a Swiss- German painter who is famous for his use of expressionism and surrealism. We looked at one of his most famous pieces, Senecio which we found out means 'Old Man' and you used crayons and paint to recreate it...with a twist! Stay tuned for some fantastic photos of your masterpieces!

Friday afternoon we voted as a class to choose 2 pupils from our class to go on the School Council. I was so impressed that the majority of you wanted to take on this important role and we heard some fantastic speeches...there could only be two winners though and Emily and Jake were chosen after some very inspirational speeches to the class. Congratulations!

See you all on Monday!

Miss Thomas
